Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (756) - THE MANAWATU RACING CLUB CHALLENGE TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 2 - 1800Meters
From the outside barriers, RICKFIELD and HELENE CHARISMA were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, LITTERATEUR was crowded for room inside SHARP SAILOR which got its head on the side and lay in away from PIKACHU.
In this incident, SHARP SAILOR became unbalanced after bumping LITTERATEUR.
Passing the 500 Metres, PIKACHU raced tight outside SHARP SAILOR which attempted to improve to the outside of DOCTOR GEOFF.
Throughout the race, PIKACHU travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of RICKFIELD immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
DOCTOR GEOFF and INSAYSHABLE were sent for sampling.

Firming favourite Doctor Geoff shot clear at the 230m following a one-out, one-back run to register an overdue win after placing in four of seven Sha Tin starts. He should remain competitive at either track over the 1,600m and 1,800m. Insayshable got up for second 150m out following a box-seat run. He needed the outing following a bone fracture in January and the future is bright. Litterateur closed well from midfield to fill a placing. He rarely produces a bad run over this course at a mile or 1,800m. Winning Faith gave way over the last 100m stalking the leader Jolly Gene to his outside. He's more effective at a mile. Sharp Sailor made only a minor bid following a midfield run. He loves this trip but appears to be on his mark. Helene Charisma got by beaten rivals from the back of the field following a slow break. He's been a major disappointment. Pikachu had a dreadful run without cover in midfield and will sleep well.
