Recap by phillip woo
Raging favourite Exultant kept on nicely after starting his run at the 850m following a deep run with cover in midfield, hitting the lead at the 320m to notch a third win this term. He's smart and will remain a force to be reckoned with over the 1,800m to 2,400m next term. Same can be said of Gold Mount who was closing with every stride widest out after travelling at the rear of the field as expected. Punted late, Dinozzo got going late travelling second from the rear to finish a non-threatening third. He's had a good campaign but is likely on or near his mark. Romantic Touch stayed on all right near the inside to snatch fourth from Prawn Baba following a midfield run. He requires a wet track. Prawn Baba grudgingly gave way after a prominent run without cover behind the leader Classic Emperor. He had excuses but competition at this level is a bit too rich.
