Win Beauty Win quickened brilliantly to win going away at the 120m after getting into the open 200m out following a midfield run on the fence to beat a good field. Punted late, Solar Patch was no match for the winner after claiming the lead at the 300m stalking the leader Regency Bo Bo from a wide gate. Favourite Conte stayed on reasonably well after getting caught without cover the entire trip handy to the speed. Harmony Hero stayed on well settling effectively one-out, one-back. He'll be better next season but appears from this run to be crying out for a mile trip. Regency Bo Bo grudgingly gave way after dictating the run. He's as honest as the day is long over this trip. Lockheed kept on all right after being held up behind the leader sitting box-seat until the 200m. He appears to have improved following a gelding operation in April. Apollo's Choice kept grinding away after a deep run in midfield. He's one to keep safe if he can draw a proper gate.

Race Ten: (751) - MA ON SHAN HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Meters

MARVEL TRIBE was withdrawn on 23.6.18 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter JOLLY JOLLY (H N Wong).

Before being allowed to race again, MARVEL TRIBE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

JOLLY JOLLY was slow to begin.

KEEN VENTURE shifted out at the start, resulting in LOCKHEED being taken out onto MONGOLIAN KING which lost ground when crowded for room inside LIMITLESS.

From a wide barrier, ARCADA was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

When being steadied passing the 1300 Metres to obtain cover, LIMITLESS got its head up and proved very difficult to settle.

Near the 900 Metres, CONTE was left racing wide and without cover.

Approaching the 300 Metres, WIN BEAUTY WIN and HARMONY HERO raced tight.

CONTE, WIN BEAUTY WIN and SOLAR PATCH were sent for sampling.

After the running of Race 5, the track classification was officially changed from "Good??to "Good to Firm?? This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 5 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm??
