Recap by phillip woo
Pikachu staved off a challenge from newcomer Stimulation after dashing to the front 150m out following a one-off run in midfield to win for a second time this campaign. Stimulation finished well one from the right. He's quickly adapted and looks to have a future in Hong Kong. Imperial Gallantry closed willingly down the far outside after settling last in the run to just miss second by a whisker. He was suited by the pace of the race. Raging favourite Rocketeer only plodded following a one-out, one-back run following a stable change. The pace went against him but he was clearly under the odds on his overall performance this season. Rickfield made some ground late without menacing after settling one from the back. Prefer him in down in grade at the Valley. Star Majestic failed to menace following a box-seat run. He's better at a mile and requires rating relief.
