Recap by phillip woo
Raging favourite Montreal sat outside the leader Dream Come True, assumed the lead 300m out and drew clear to win as expected at his second start. He's destined for better things. Wayfoong Vinnie stuck on very well for second following a prominent run to continue his solid run of form lately over the straight 1,000m. Money Boy didn't beat much to finish a non-threatening third sitting handy one off the stands side. He's been a terrific money spinner for connections this season but is likely on his mark. Mr Right held on for fourth after sitting up with the leaders near the far side. He's better at the Valley and prefer him in Class Four. Plunged late Mickey Rich was making noticeable ground late from the rear of the field. The 1,000m was too sharp.
