Recap by phillip woo
Second favourite Beat The Clock came from last to run down favourite Mr Stunning 50m out for a deserving first win at group level. He's a Group One winner waiting to happen. Mr Stunning surged to the lead at the 150m following a speed-chasing run but found one just better in the end. The five-pound swing in the weights was the difference in the end. Bottom-rated Winner's Way came on very well despite being held up early straight after travelling third from the rear to fill a placing. It was a huge run and his versatility gives him options going forward. Peniaphobia finished up a distant fourth after getting his own way on the lead. He's clearly beyond his better days. Born In China made some ground without menacing after settling beyond midfield. It was a decent effort but he's clearly better at the Valley. Amazing Kids never came on from near the back. It was a below par performance and he might have had issues.
