Favourite What Else But You showed a good turn of foot following a midfield run to win going away 120m out for a fourth win from 10 starts. He's got more upside to come and is better suited over a longer trip as well. Well-backed late Calculation got his own way in front after working forward very deep from a tricky gate to lead at the 950m and kept on gamely for second. He's racing well on both surfaces. Kingsfield kept on all right sitting behind the leader to finish a non-threatening third. He's doesn't know how to run a bad race over this trip. World Record just out-finished Racing Supernova after punching the breeze in fourth. He owns terrific stats over this trip but is finding it harder at this level. Racing Supernova steadily made ground late following a patient ride third from the rear. He needs a faster pace and the big weight didn't help.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (544) - HYACINTH HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1400Meters

MY DARLING was steadied shortly after the start to obtain cover.

From a wide barrier, ARCADA was steadied to obtain a position closer to the rail, however, after travelling keenly in the early stages was left racing wide and without cover at the 1000 Metres.

Then rounding the Home Turn, ARCADA gave ground and was eased down over the final 300 Metres.

A veterinary inspection of ARCADA immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of ARCADA, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, ARCADA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Passing the 1200 Metres, MY DARLING was shifted out away from the heels of CALIFORNIA JOY which at this time was being vigorously ridden along in an attempt to obtain a position inside WORLD RECORD.

Then after being crossed by WORLD RECORD, CALIFORNIA JOY travelled keenly behind that horse passing the 1100 Metres.

Near the 75 Metres, MY DARLING shifted out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of TAKING AIM.
