Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (483) - POPLAR HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Meters
HANG'S DECISION, which was restless in the barriers, began very awkwardly as the start was effected and lost ground.
This also resulted in its rider, A Sanna, becoming badly unbalanced in the saddle.
From the outside barrier, GLORIOUS ARTIST was steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 1300 Metres, WAH MAY BABY shifted in and made contact with ENERGETIC CLASS, became unbalanced and then shifted out and bumped PLAY WISE which also became unbalanced.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, GREEN ENERGY was steadied away from the heels of HAPPY SPIRIT.
HARRIET JET, which was inclined to lay in, was awkwardly placed inside the heels of HAPPY SPIRIT after passing the 100 Metres.
Throughout the race, PLAY WISE travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of PLAY WISE and SUPER LUCKY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
A veterinary inspection of ENERGETIC CLASS immediately following the race found that there was blood at the right nostril.
An endoscopic examination confirmed ENERGETIC CLASS to be a bleeder.
WINNING FAITH and PRETTY BAUHINIA were sent for sampling.

3 March 2018 Sha Tin Racemeeting - Race 2 (467) When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of YOU HAVE MY WORD, Trainer T P Yung stated that as a consequence of the horse having a long break from racing, it had gained in strength during this preparation.
He said the horse had been working satisfactorily and he was quite happy with the horse's midfield placing in a strong barrier trial over 1600 Metres on the turf at Sha Tin on 6 February 2018.
He said whilst he anticipated that YOU HAVE MY WORD would perform creditably first up, nonetheless the win had come as a surprise.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 3 March 2018 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of COMPLACENCY, WINNINGLI, YOU HAVE MY WORD, KWAICHUNG BROTHERS, PING HAI STAR, KINGSFIELD, IRON BOY, SEVENTY SEVENTY, TELECOM MAN, LUCKY TIME, RAGING STORM, EMPIRE STAR, RUTHVEN, SERGEANT TITANIUM, JOLLY GENE, GENERAL DINO, BRAVO WATCHMAN, MR LUMIERES, CALCULATION, TURIN REDSTAR and ULTIMATE GLORY revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of WINNER ST PAUL'S, BEAUT BEAUT, EASY GO EASY WIN, EASTERN EXPRESS, RISE HIGH, LE PANACHE, HALL OF FAME, FORTUNE GIGGLES, HANDSOME BO BO, BINGO, LEAN PERFECTION, EXCEPTIONAL DESIRE, SONIC FIGHTER, GREAT TREASURE, ROYALE ELEGANCE, COMPASSION STAR, MARQULA, RED ELYSEES, TIME WARP, WERTHER, BEAUTY GENERATION, BEAT THE CLOCK, SUPER MISSILE, RAGING BLITZKRIEG, LADY FIRST, SUPER FORM and UNICRON JEWELLERY (25.2.18) proved negative.

Favourite Winning Faith quickened brilliantly when pulling out soon after straightening following a rail run worse than midfield to win going away 120m out to remain unbeaten in three straight runs over this Valley trip. Pretty Bauhinia finished strongly down the outside after travelling second from the rear to easily fill the Quinella spot. He's put it all together in his past few runs over this Valley trip and remains one to follow. Glorious Artist closed well to snatch third at big odds after peeling off the fence travelling third from the rear at the 200m in a solid debut effort. Happy Spirit was just denied a placing travelling handy despite being caught deep early on from a wide gate. Nitro Express wasn't far off the placings after travelling fourth from the rear. He's trying to find his mark. Play Wise only succumbed in the last 100m after a hard run chasing the leaders three deep without cover. He'll have better days going forward.
