Recap by phillip woo
Packing Dragon took control 100m out after facing the breeze outside the odds-on favourite Winner's Way to notch a second straight win despite a step back in distance. He loves this circuit. Winner's Way found one too good after rolling forward to lead 1,500m at a pedestrian pace. The big weight was the difference in the end. Pikachu stayed on a non-threatening third following a prominent run. He pops up now and then. In another costly run, Limitless ran on steadily late to grab fourth close to home following a patient ride second from the rear. His attitude's been his own worse enemy. Sichuan Dar founded nothing when asked for more 200m out following a dream run behind the Quinella pair. It's a hard one to explain. Key Witness was off the bridle a long way out and never a factor. The mile's too far.
