Well-punted late Happy Friendship kept on gamely for the win after a perfectly-rated run in front. The feather weight helped and he's going well enough to remain competitive. Remarkable finished well after taking off at the 400m travelling third from the rear to close the gap to a half-length on the wire. Sweet Bean ran on steadily near the inside following a rail run behind midfield to fill a placing. He doesn't know how to run a bad race at this level. Loaded stayed on much better to just miss a placing following a handy run in a vastly-improved run following a downgrade. Wealthy Fortune grudgingly gave way in the last 150m after rolling forward to sit outside the leader from a wide gate. The old-timer's a winner waiting to happen but can't seem to draw a proper gate. Pearl Furu left things too late after settling fifth from the back. He's knocking on the door at this level and can pop up at any time.

Racing Incident Report

Race One: (419) - ROSE HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters

ISLAND FLYER was slow to begin.

SO GENEROUS began only fairly.

Shortly after the start, HALL OF FAME became unbalanced when racing tight inside LOADED as a result of both horses shifting ground.

After initially being ridden along, PEARL FURU was steadied shortly after the start to obtain cover.

From wide barriers, REMARKABLE and HOLY UNICORN were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the 1600 Metres, HALL OF FAME got its head up when proving difficult to settle and awkwardly placed close to the heels of LOADED (P-C Boudot) which shifted in when not quite clear.

P-C Boudot was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

Approaching the 500 Metres, HALL OF FAME was restrained away from the heels of LOADED after being awkwardly placed behind that horse.

REMARKABLE, which was following, shifted out away from the heels of HALL OF FAME in consequence.

Passing the 400 Metres, REMARKABLE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of EASTERN PROWESS.

Throughout the race, EASTERN PROWESS travelled wide and without cover.

SWEET BEAN, HAPPY FRIENDSHIP and REMARKABLE were sent for sampling.
