Recap by phillip woo
Backed late Dinozzo enjoyed an uncontested lead and responded nicely when popped the question to come home clearly on top to back up a win on Wednesday at the Valley. The slow pace and light weight for this run was the key to victory. Favourite Gold Mount finished strongly after travelling second from the rear. It was a good run in defeat and looks a major player in the up-and-coming races over the 2,000m and 2,400m. Eagle Way came up one-paced in the final 150m after chasing the leader carrying a big weight. He's better over a further trip. Horse Of Fortune only held his ground following a boxseat run. Age is getting the better of him. Rivet ran on without menacing after over-racing travelling third from the rear. This was a bit too rich for him but he's still only a fouryear- old. Ruthven disappointed following a prominent run. He's still trying to get the hang of things. Secret Weapon got too far back and was not a factor carrying top weight.
