The very impressive-looking Conte rolled to the front and never looked back to remain unbeaten in four starts. The future is very bright and he should get a mile in time. Roundabout overhauled Simply Brilliant in deep stretch for second following a midfield run along the fence. He's racing consistently but isn't a prolific winner. Punted late, Simply Brilliant had to settle for third in the end after going forward from a wide gate to sit second in the run. He's placed in each of his four runs behind some nice types and it's only a matter of time before he salutes the judge. Ultimate Glory got going after travelling fifth from the rear to fill a quartet spot. He's nearing a bottom and can pop up soon over the 1,400m or Valley 1,650m. Hard Ball Get stayed on without menacing sitting midfield. He requires rating relief. Chimboraa wasn't beaten as far following a downgrade and gear change at only his third local run but did get all favours in the run.

Race Ten: (364) - SOUTH WALL HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

SUPER LUCKY began awkwardly and lost ground.

ULTIMATE GLORY began only fairly.

From wide barriers, MARVEL JOY, BEAUTY MILES and ROMANTIC JOURNEY were all steadied and shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

When being steadied to obtain cover in the early stages, SHARP HUNTER proved very difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions.

After the 1100 Metres, MARVEL JOY got its head up when being checked away from the heels of HARD BALL GET.

Rounding the Home Turn, CHIMBORAA and DYNAMIC EAGLE, which was laying out, raced tight as CHIMBORAA shifted out.

Passing the 300 Metres, DYNAMIC EAGLE was steadied away from the heels of CHIMBORAA (Apprentice H T Mo) which shifted out under pressure.

Apprentice Mo was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

Throughout the race, A BEAUTIFUL and BEAUTY MILES travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of DYNAMIC EAGLE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CONTE and ROUNDABOUT were sent for sampling.
