Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (237) - GRANVILLE HANDICAP - Class 4R - 1400Meters
CHAPARRAL STAR began only fairly and then was bumped by GALLANT RETURN which shifted in.
AMUSING CITY shifted in at the start and bumped FLAME LILY.
FLAME LILY then became unbalanced when racing tight between AMUSING CITY and WIN BEAUTY WIN.
Shortly after the start, AMAZING NIGHTSTAR and AMAZING SATCHMO bumped.
From the outside barrier, XIANG HUANG QI was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, SMART CHARADE was steadied away from the heels of AMAZING SATCHMO which shifted in when awkwardly placed close to the heels of WIN BEAUTY WIN.
After the 1200 Metres, SMART CHARADE was bumped by TELECOM MAN which shifted out.
GALLANT RETURN had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight and then approaching the 100 Metres was held up for a run behind SPARKLING DRAGON and inside WIN BEAUTY WIN.
GALLANT RETURN continued to be held up and after the 50 Metres was shifted to the outside of WIN BEAUTY WIN to obtain clear running.
Throughout the race, SINCERE HORSE and FLAME LILY travelled wide and without cover.
A Sanna, the rider of XIANG HUANG QI, was spoken to regarding using the whip on that horse when it was out of contention.
SPARKLING DRAGON and WIN BEAUTY WIN were sent for sampling.

Backed to jump equal-favourite Sparkling Dragon fought on gamely after dictating the run to remain unbeaten in two starts despite a rise in trip and top weight. He's got more up his sleeve and should be able to hold his own up in class. Favourite Win Beauty Win had a good tussle but couldn't get by the winner after sitting one off in second from a wide gate. He's done little wrong in his three starts and might be better suited over a mile. Gallant Return wasn't properly tested in the concluding stages sitting box-seat and should have made it closer on the wire. Like the top pair, he's one with a bright future going forward. Amazing Satchmo ran on steadily travelling one-off fore of midfield. He run with merits in his three starts to date and surely will be winning races with a bit more maturity and will get a longer trip. Smart Charade made a decent bid late after travelling fifth from the rear in an improved effort following a distressed run first-up.
