Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (198) - TOKYO HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1650Meters
RISE HIGH was withdrawn on 13.11.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (inappetence) and was replaced by first Standby Declared Starter SPEEDY LONGWAH.
BEAUTY WAY was withdrawn on 14.11.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and was replaced by second Standby Declared Starter GONNA RUN (Apprentice M F Poon).
Before being allowed to race again, RISE HIGH and BEAUTY WAY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
BEAUTY PRINCE began only fairly and then was bumped by FAITHFUL TRINITY which shifted in.
From wide barriers, PIKACHU, DIVINE BOY, GONNA RUN and SPEEDY LONGWAH were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
FAITHFUL TRINITY lost its right hind plate at the 1350 Metres.
After the 1100 Metres, THUNDER STOMP commenced to prove very difficult to settle and travelled keenly in the lead despite the efforts of its rider to restrain the horse.
Approaching the 800 Metres, LUCKY GIRL shifted out to be racing wide and without cover.
Near the 700 Metres, BEAUTY PRINCE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of STAR MAJESTIC when disappointed for running between that horse and FAITHFUL TRINITY.
PIKACHU, which was following, was shifted away from the heels of BEAUTY PRINCE in consequence.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, PIKACHU shifted out and bumped SPEEDY LONGWAH which became unbalanced.
Passing the 400 Metres, HAPPY SPIRIT was momentarily awkwardly placed inside LUCKY GIRL (A Badel) which shifted in marginally.
A Badel was advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground.
KING GENKI, which was following, was hampered when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY SPIRIT in consequence.
Near the 150 Metres, PIKACHU was shifted to the outside of BEAUTY PRINCE after being disappointed for running inside that horse which shifted in marginally.
Over the concluding stages, PIKACHU was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BEAUTY PRINCE.
After the race, Z Purton reported that SPEEDY LONGWAH was making an abnormal breathing noise during the race which he reported to the Veterinary Officer.
A veterinary inspection of SPEEDY LONGWAH immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, SPEEDY LONGWAH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
LUCKY GIRL and BIG BANG BONG were sent for sampling.

Omissions from Racing Incidents Report of 11 November 2017 Sha Tin Racemeeting - Race 4 (184) From near the 150 Metres until passing the 50 Metres, AMAZING ALWAYS, which was closing off the race well, was held up for clear running.
Passing the 50 Metres, AMBITIOUS SPEEDY was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of ROYALE ELEGANCE which shifted in under pressure.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 11 November 2017 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of BRILLIANT MONKEYS, GAINFULJET, TELECOM BOOM, MASSIVE MOVE, FISH N' CHIPS, INDIGENOUS STAR, EVER LAUGH, SUNNY ORIENT, ROMAN IMPERO, ROYALE ELEGANCE, EIGHTY EIGHTY, WINSTON'S LAD, SUPER HOPPY, WESTERN EXPRESS, WAH MAY FRIEND, GOLDEN SUN, BRAVO WATCHMAN, RATTAN, DARING FIT, WORLD RECORD and PING HAI STAR revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of AMAZING STAR, ALCARI, WINNER ST PAUL'S, NEWSWIRE FREE, HOT KING PRAWN, ROYAL MOJITO, CONTE, AMBITIOUS HEART, MIDNITE PROMISE, JE PENSE, HAPPY ROCKY, WIN BEAUTY WIN, LET'S TAKE IT EASY, NASSA, TIME WARP, CIRCUIT HASSLER, GORGEOUS KING, JOLLY GENE, MALMSTEEN, TIME TO CELEBRATE, SPICY SURE, FIFTY FIFTY, MARVEL TRIBE and PINGWU SPARK (5.11.17) proved negative.

Lucky Girl sustained his move from the 650m after a deep run behind midfield to get up 20m out for the win. He's come right in his past two following a switch to the Valley and it appears from this run that he'll get 1,800m now. Favourite Big Bang Bong was given every chance in the box seat and found one better in the end. He's racing consistently without winning and may be near his mark. Plunged late Divine Boy got going 600m out after travelling fourth from the rear to get the bob down for third. He's racing well but may be more effective nowadays on the dirt. Thunder Stomp wouldn't go away without a fight after pressing the speed without cover from a wide gate despite a rise in class. He doesn't know how to run a bad race over this Valley trip. Beauty Prince ran on without menacing following a midfield run. He's never far away but is finding things hard off his current handicap. Star Majestic only plodded travelling fore of midfield near the fence despite bags of money for him late. He requires a return to Class Three and softer going.
