Firming late in betting Winston's Lad came on strongly after travelling three deep fourth from the rear to overhaul favourite Super Hoppy 50m out for a return to the winner's circle after knocking on the door in five of his past six starts. He'll remain competitive in the grade. Favourite Super Hoppy found one too good after dashing to the front 100m out following a one-off run travelling behind midfield. He's made a good impression in his two starts and will be saluting shortly. Young Legend kept on nicely from beyond midfield on the fence to finish a distant third in an encouraging debut. He looks a decent sort and is bred underneath to get a further trip with time. Specked late Turf Sprint finished well down the outside after settling last from the widest gate. He pops up now and then. Primero made some ground without menacing three from the right after settling fifth from the back. He's limited despite placing in two earlier runs this term.

Race Six: (186) - PANASONIC MOMI MOMI MASSAGE LOUNGER HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

LADY FIRST, which began only fairly, was checked shortly after the start when crowded for room between BACK IN BLACK which shifted out and MASTER VIKING which was taken in by PRIMERO which in turn was taken in by CALIFORNIA FORTUNE which got its head on the side and hung in badly despite the efforts of its rider.

In this incident, both PRIMERO and MASTER VIKING were also hampered.

CALIFORNIA FORTUNE, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong today, then continued to hang in in the early stages and proved difficult to ride.

From wide barriers, CALCULATION, TURF SPRINT and ALL MY GAIN were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the 1000 Metres, YOUNG LEGEND raced greenly and passing the 800 Metres was awkwardly placed close to the heels of IRON BOY when travelling keenly.

Making the turn after the 900 Metres, CALCULATION got its head up and shifted out when being checked away from the heels of WINSTON'S LAD.

Also making the turn after the 900 Metres, TURF SPRINT commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when racing close to the heels of PRIMERO.

Approaching the 200 Metres, CALCULATION lay in and was awkwardly placed outside the heels of PRIMERO.

After this, CALCULATION continued to lay in under pressure and proved difficult to ride.

Throughout the race, BORNTOACHIEVE travelled wide and without cover.

WINSTON'S LAD and SUPER HOPPY were sent for sampling.
