Recap by phillip woo

Curling Luxury enjoyed a dream run after jumping best of all, reclaimed the lead 100m out and kept on gamely to notch a third win from four starts this term. His natural speed is a terrific asset at the Valley and he'll remain competitive in the grade. Favourite Mister Monte closed well three from the right after travelling one-off fore of midfield to make it close in the end. He's turned the corner in his past two starts and should be winning shortly at a mile or 1,800m if he remains in the grade. Polymer Luck kept on gamely for a placing after pressing forward from a wide gate to chase the speed. He'll be hard to beat when drawing a proper gate. Forever Posh came on well down the outside to just miss the placings following a patient ride fourth from the rear. He's not genuine but is certainly at his best over the mile on either surface. Autumn Gold finished well after saving ground behind midfield.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (176) - KAM SHAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters

WINASWEWISH began only fairly and then lost further ground when crowded for room between AUTUMN GOLD which shifted out and PENZANCE which got its head on the side and shifted in abruptly.

In this incident, PENZANCE became unbalanced after bumping with WINASWEWISH.

FOREVER POSH began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped BO DUKE.

From wide barriers, FOREVER POSH and CASA MASTER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

TRENDY WIN was also steadied shortly after the start and shifted across to obtain cover.

Passing the 1400 Metres, PENZANCE got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MISTER MONTE which shifted out.

In the early stages, BO DUKE was left racing wide and without cover and after the 1200 Metres was ridden along to obtain a more forward position and to obtain cover.

Passing the 700 Metres, CURLING LUXURY and BO DUKE raced tight.

Rounding the Home Turn, CURLING LUXURY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of GRAND HARBOUR.

Passing the 300 Metres, WINASWEWISH and TRENDY WIN raced tight.

Near the 150 Metres, WINASWEWISH was shifted to the inside of AUTUMN GOLD (K Teetan) which shifted out when not quite clear.

K Teetan was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

Close to the finishing line, BO DUKE was awkwardly placed inside POLYMER LUCK which got its head on the side and lay in.

A veterinary inspection of GRAND HARBOUR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CURLING LUXURY and MISTER MONTE were sent for sampling.
