Recap by phillip woo

Our Honour got going following a prominent run to wear down Kim Glory in the final few metres for only a second win from 18 starts. He'll struggle with a return to Class Four. Plunged late Kim Glory claimed the front 200m out after a pace-stalking run and found one just too good in the end. The light weight and good gate helped but he's not reliable. Haymaker closed well after making his run near last from a wide gate to grab a placing close to home. On the back of his three runs this term, he'll be winning shortly at this level. Post-time favourite Winning Controller stayed on better settling worse than midfield to just miss a placing in a positive first run in the grade. His grinding style might see him better over the Sha Tin 1,400m. Early favourite Winning Boy did stop all that badly after a deep run without cover the entire trip sitting near the speed. He should go close to winning from a better alley.

Racing Incident Report

Race One: (119) - BANK STREET HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters

On jumping, MASSIVE MILLENNIUM, which reared on a number of occasions when fractious in the barriers, bounded in the air and made heavy contact with the hindquarters of WINNING CONTROLLER, causing WINNING CONTROLLER to become unbalanced and MASSIVE MILLENNIUM to lose ground.

From wide barriers, OHANA and HAYMAKER were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Making the first turn approaching the 1050 Metres, GOLDEN GLORY hung out.

Making the turn after the 1000 Metres, ROCKET LET WIN got its head on the side, made the turn awkwardly and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of WINNING CONTROLLER.

Making the turn after the 600 Metres, ROCKET LET WIN, which continued to lay out, lost ground when momentarily crowded for room inside OUR HONOUR (N Rawiller) which lay in.

N Rawiller was severely reprimanded and advised that whilst the Stewards acknowledged that ROCKET LET WIN was inclined to lay out for the majority of the race, nonetheless he had allowed his mount to shift inside the line of one-off.

He was advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to afford other runners comfortable racing room.

MASSIVE MILLENNIUM, which was following, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of ROCKET LET WIN in consequence.

After this, ROCKET LET WIN continued to lay out.

MASSIVE MILLENNIUM, which was following ROCKET LET WIN, was awkwardly placed behind that horse rounding the Home Turn.

Rounding the Home Turn and in the Straight, GOLDEN GLORY lay out under pressure.

Throughout the race, GOLDEN GLORY travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of MASSIVE MILLENNIUM immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.

WINNING CONTROLLER, OUR HONOUR and KIM GLORY were sent for sampling.
