Recap by phillip woo
Bossiee came on strongly after peeling widest out at the 300m following a patient ride second from the rear to run down the favourites in the shadows of the post to land a betting move. He's not usually genuine but has notched a second win from six starts following a move to blinkers in April. Favourite Star Of Patch wore down leader Super Euro Star in the last stride for second after being ridden cold from a wide gate. It was a terrific return to the races after carpus surgery in February and will be winning shortly. Super Euro Star wouldn't go down without a fight after dictating the pace to nearly make it three wins on the trot. He has what it takes to win another before the handicapper has him. Money Winner came up flat 100m out after producing a steady move from near the back at the 600m. He's still learning and the step to 1,400m might suit him better now. Peace Combination only plodded with every chance following a prominent run.
