Recap by phillip woo
Gorgeous King responded well following a prominent run along the fence to win going away 220m out in a good time for a first win at his 14th start. He was an unlucky third when resuming over the 1,400m and the step up to the 1,800m was perfect. Ho Ho Feel closed well down the outside after a patient ride at the rear of the field with the claim well utilized. He's best ridden cold and can pop up at any time. Ensuring ran on well from behind midfield to place following a stable change. He's beyond his better years but is versatile and getting down to a useful mark. Sergeant Titanium briefly poked his head in front at the 300m after chasing a good pace one off in third and was yielding ground 100m out. He's run out of petrol late in both outings this term but isn't far off a bottom. Favourite Gorgeous Again was slow into stride and badly held up behind the tiring leader Mighty Boy until pulling out at the 200m.
