Recap by phillip woo
Punted late Grade One raced his way to the lead 150m out after barging his way out at the 320m following a handy run and kept on nicely thereafter for a maiden win at his eighth start and best on this surface despite an injury setback in June. He didn't beat much but might have a bit more improvement in him and does handle both surfaces. Raging favourite Flying Noble came on nicely one from the right after travelling fore of midfield to come home a clear second to live up to a solid lead-up trial. He's headed in the right direction now and will be winning shortly. Tourbillon King held on for a placing after finding his way to the lead from a wide gate. He didn't have much behind him and fitness edge on most rivals. My Honey made ground from near last to add some value to the Quartet in a vastly-improved effort at his third start. He still needs more time. Plunged late Paddington rallied well widest out without menacing after travelling third.
