Favourite Endearing let down well after peeling out rounding the final bend following a prominent run along the fence to win going away 150m out to open the win account for trainer Michael Freedman. He's strengthened up following a stable change and could head higher now. Spring Win came on well after saving ground behind midfield to get up for second prize. He's got the ability but isn't the soundest of runners. Cheers Conqueror closed well after travelling fourth form the rear to grab a placing. He's run on at times in eight prior starts but this was clearly his best performance and he clearly wants a further trip. Creme Brulee stayed on all right after chasing the leader Multigogo. The lightlyraced type is headed in the right direction now following two positive runs this term. Multigogo weakened over the last 150m after over-racing on the lead from a wide gate. Colourful Achiever was getting going late from the second half of the field.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (57) - LAM TEI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters

J Moreira (MULTIGOGO) and N Callan (MI BLANCO) were each fined the sum of $2,000 for failing to present themselves in the Parade Ring by the required time.

AMUSING CITY shifted in at the start and bumped ENDEARING which became unbalanced and in turn shifted in and bumped SPRING WIN.

A STAR LUSTER began awkwardly and then raced with its head up in the early stages.

MULTIGOGO shifted out at the start and bumped MI BLANCO.

Shortly after the start, ENJOY LIFE raced tight inside CREME BRULEE.

From the outside barriers, MI BLANCO, RAY'S CALL and GOLDEN DEER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Approaching the 900 Metres, ALL YOU KNOW got its head on the side and shifted in despite the efforts of its rider, causing SPRING WIN to be momentarily crowded for room.

Passing the 350 Metres, CREME BRULEE was directed to the outside of MULTIGOGO after being disappointed for running inside that horse.

MI BLANCO was awkwardly placed between RAY'S CALL and COLOURFUL ACHIEVER which shifted out.

Throughout the race, COLOURFUL ACHIEVER travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, T Berry reported that AMUSING CITY lay in throughout the race.

When questioned, J Moreira stated that in accordance with his instructions he rode MULTIGOGO positively in the early stages and was able to cross CREME BRULEE to assume the lead after the 1000 Metres.

He said on reaching the lead on the rail, he commenced to steady MULTIGOGO after the 1000 Metres, however, the horse was inclined to shift away from the rail.

He said near the 900 Metres he attempted to bring MULTIGOGO back closer to the rail, however, the horse proved very difficult to settle, got its head up and was reluctant to shift over towards the rail.

He said, despite his endeavours to have the horse race more tractably, MULTIGOGO continued to race with its head in the air and lay away from the rail until after the 600 Metres.

He added it was at this point of the race that MULTIGOGO commenced to race more tractably and he was able to have the horse race closer to the rail.

He said because of MULTIGOGO's racing manners in the early and middle stages, the horse was then not able to finish off the race.

A veterinary inspection of AMUSING CITY and ALL YOU KNOW immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

ENDEARING and SPRING WIN were sent for sampling.
