Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (4) - LUNG WUI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
OWNERS??DELIGHT was slow to begin.
REWARDING FLYER shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of HARBOUR NOVA.
A STAR LUSTER began awkwardly and then was crowded for room between SIGHT SEEING and VICTORY MASTER which shifted out after being bumped by GOOD DAYS.
After this, from wide barriers, both A STAR LUSTER and SIGHT SEEING were shifted across behind runners.
OWNERS??DELIGHT made the turn after the 900 Metres awkwardly.
Passing the 800 Metres, A STAR LUSTER, which was racing awkwardly, got its head on the side and shifted out across the heels of SIGHT SEEING, resulting in A STAR LUSTER being checked and losing ground.
Near the 650 Metres, VICTOR EMPEROR was momentarily crowded for room between OWNERS??DELIGHT and GOOD DAYS, both of which shifted ground.
HARBOUR NOVA lost its right front plate after the 600 Metres.
Rounding the Home Turn, CONTRIBUTION raced tight between NOBLE DE BOY and REWARDING FLYER which shifted out.
Near the 350 Metres, GOOD DAYS and VICTORY MASTER bumped.
Approaching and passing the 300 Metres, CONTRIBUTION got its head on the side and lay in.
Passing the 200 Metres, SIGHT SEEING was held up for clear running and then raced in restricted room inside CONTRIBUTION when improving into tight running between that horse and HARBOUR NOVA.
For the majority of the race, NOBLE DE BOY travelled wide and without cover and near the 600 Metres was taken wider still by HARBOUR NOVA which shifted to the outside of ROCHFORD.
A veterinary inspection of HARBOUR NOVA immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, HARBOUR NOVA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HOUSEHOLD KING and REWARDING FLYER were sent for sampling.

Debutant Household King found the front quickly from a tricky gate and kept bowling along to win with something in hand to cut into his lofty $10.5 million purchase price. He's got a bright future. Plunged late Rewarding Flyer just held off newcomer Good Days after dashing to second at the 150m following a rails trip in midfield. Stepping out fresh tends to be best for him but should remain competitive off light weights at this level. Good Days finished well after travelling behind midfield. It was a pleasing performance and he'll be better suited over 1,400m or a mile heading forward. Happy Fiery Dragon had his chance following a prominent run. He's limited but is only a point from a return to the Class Five level of a win in July. Harbour Nova did not fire after chasing the speed and over-racing early on. He's in the right grade but may need a run or two to come to hand.
