King Of Mongolia took control 200m out following a handy run along the fence to easily notch a third win from 29 starts. He had all favours in the run and will likely find it harder up in class. Plunged late Hit A Home Run couldn't gain a clear run until pulling into the open at the 150m following a midfield run and finished well to grab second close to home. He would have given the winner a good run for his money. Ashkiyr was just out-finished for second following a midfield run. He rarely runs a bad race over this Sha Tin trip. Po Ching Treasure kept up a strong gallop after a hard run near the speed to only losing a placing late. He continues to race well after back-to-back wins and should remain competitive next season in this grade. Aeroluminance got going late after travelling fourth from the rear. He still needs to lift at this level following a last-start win in Class Five and was suited by the sting out of the ground. King Bountiful ran on without menacing.

Racing Incident Report

Race Five: (801) - MIRACULOUS HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1800Meters

COOL BROTHERS lifted its front feet off the ground as the start was effected and consequently lost ground.

ASHKIYR and HAPPY ROCKY bumped at the start.

ASHKIYR then shifted in and bumped WIN FOR CHARITY, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced.

LUCKY SEVEN STARS began awkwardly.

For some distance approaching and passing the 1200 Metres, GARLIC YEAH got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of MIDNITE PROMISE.

KING BOUNTIFUL lost its left front plate after the 600 Metres.

Rounding the Home Turn, KING BOUNTIFUL was held up when awkwardly placed behind SEMPITERNAL which was giving ground.

HAPPY ROCKY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HIT A HOME RUN rounding the Home Turn.

At the entrance to the Straight, SEMPITERNAL and AEROLUMINANCE bumped.

ASHKIYR had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.

HIT A HOME RUN had difficulty obtaining clear running from on straightening until after the 200 Metres.

Near the 50 Metres, ASHKIYR raced tight inside PO CHING TREASURE which lay in under pressure.

Throughout the race, PO CHING TREASURE travelled wide and without cover.

After the race, Z Purton stated that after pulling up, GARLIC YEAH became unbalanced in its action.

A veterinary inspection of GARLIC YEAH immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

Before being allowed to race again, GARLIC YEAH will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of MIDNITE PROMISE and COOL BROTHERS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

GARLIC YEAH, KING OF MONGOLIA and HIT A HOME RUN were sent for sampling.

<17/7/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>COOL BROTHERS, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings.

COOL BROTHERS was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C W Chang this morning.

He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, COOL BROTHERS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
