Such A Happiness came on nicely after travelling one off beyond midfield to take control 100m out for an overdue win after seconds in two of five starts. He's got the tools to hold his own up in grade off a light weight. Electric Lightning finished strongly after going back from a wide gate to grab second in the final stride despite a moderate pace. He has run well in victory and defeat in his six starts this term despite failing to draw proper gates and looks to have plenty of points in hand. Infinity Endeavour led 350m out after stalking the leader Unique Happiest and grudgingly faded over the last 100m. He was anchored by the big weight but is a winner waiting to happen after placing in four of five starts. Plunged in betting, Full Glory came up one-paced over the final 150m after a handy run with cover from a wide gate. He needs a longer trip. Cool Brothers closed off reasonably well after travelling second from the rear. He's hit the line better in three of his past four starts and is near a bottom. Team Sweet ran on without menacing.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (785)-THE HONG KONG RIDING FOR THE DISABLED ASSOCIATION CUP(HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1600Metres

UNIQUE JOYOUS was slow to begin.

SUCH A HAPPINESS began only fairly.

From wide barriers, COOL BROTHERS and GOLDEN ACHIEVER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Despite being hard ridden in the early stages, THE SHOW failed to muster speed.

For some distance approaching and passing the 1300 Metres, SICHUAN BOSS got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUCH A HAPPINESS.

At the entrance to the Straight, COOL BROTHERS shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of ELECTRIC LIGHTNING which became unbalanced.

GOLDEN ACHIEVER had some difficulty obtaining clear running from passing the 200 Metres until approaching the 100 Metres at which time the horse was shifted to the inside of THE SHOW in an attempt to obtain clear running.

Close to the finishing line, UNIQUE JOYOUS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of TEAM SWEET.

Also close to the finishing line, ELECTRIC LIGHTNING was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUCH A HAPPINESS.

Throughout the race, LET??S TAKE IT EASY travelled wide and without cover.

When questioned, D Whyte stated that it had been intended for ELECTRIC LIGHTNING to be ridden in a forward position from a wide barrier.

He said in accordance with his instructions he rode ELECTRIC LIGHTNING positively in the early stages, however, the tempo of the race in the early stages was quicker than its most recent start when the horse was able to obtain a forward position.

He said when ELECTRIC LIGHTNING was left racing wide after the 1500 Metres, he elected to steady the horse and obtain cover rather than continuing to ride it along in an endeavour to clear runners to its inside and obtain a forward position.

He added this resulted in ELECTRIC LIGHTNING racing further back in the field than had been intended, however, the horse performed well and finished off the race strongly when ridden in this manner.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that SICHUAN BOSS was lame in its left front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, SICHUAN BOSS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN ACHIEVER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

INFINITY ENDEAVOUR, SUCH A HAPPINESS and ELECTRIC LIGHTNING were sent for sampling.
