Recap by phillip woo
Penang Hall finished strongly despite a deep run travelling fourth from the rear to get up in the final few metres to continue his rich vein of form with a third win from five starts despite returning to Class Three. On the back of this run, he should remain competitive off a light weight in Class Two. Healthy Joyful found one just too good after working to the lead 150m out despite being forced deep without cover in a handy spot at the 750m. He'll be winning shortly if he can remain in the grade. World Record produced his usual late burst from near the rear to snatch third on the wire. He's had a good campaign but does appear to be on his mark over this trip. Chung Wah Spirit had every chance following a prominent run as the early favourite. He's still open to improvement. High And Mighty stayed on well following a one-off run travelling worse than midfield. He appears from his past two starts to be nearing a bottom.
