Recap by phillip woo
Raging favourite Hot King Prawn was cantering to the wire after pulling clear at the 300m to remain unbeaten in two starts. He didn't beat much but he clearly has an engine underneath him. Bingo kept on well after chasing the leader to finish a clear-cut second in his debut. He appeared fitness-wise to need the outing and looks to have some ability. Chaparral Star was up with the leaders on the far side but was coming back to the field 200m out in his maiden run. He certainly needed the start and will want further heading forward. Riverside Bird was gone 250m out after vying for the early lead. It was another disappointing run despite coming into this race sharper for three outings. Elegance Promise and Telecom Sun were always struggling, especially the latter, and they'll need plenty more work.
