On the pace was again the place to be. Master Viking pressed forward to sit second at the 980m, poked his head in front at the 200m and kicked on nicely to make it two on the trot. Dylan Mo Hin-tung's 10-pound was golden but he'll likely find it harder up in grade despite a light weight. Regency Honey stuck on very well to spice up the Quinella despite being caught deep near the speed until slotting in with cover 600m out. It was a vastlyimproved run at this fifth start and he might be starting to come around. Otouto kept on a non-threatening third after enjoying a lovely run in the box seat. He gone better to place in his past two starts over this trip but may need to drop further in the handicaps. Plunged for a second straight time, Salsa Brothers made some ground near the inside after being restrained to travel behind midfield. The sharp rise in weight following a last-start win was his undoing but it was still a pleasing performance. Numero Uno made some ground late after travelling third from the rear. He's in the right grade but needs to draw a gate. Favourite Generous Bobo was never let down from behind midfield. He's limited. Nice Fandango weakened sharply over the last 100m after dictating the run on the fence. He's got good gate speed but the 1,000m appears a better trip for now.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (727)-LYNDHURST HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 4 - 1200Metres

MASTER VIKING began awkwardly and shifted out, resulting in SHOWING CHARACTER being hampered.

After this SHOWING CHARACTER was steadied to obtain cover.

A short distance after this, MASTER VIKING was awkwardly placed inside the heels of REGENCY HONEY.

Shortly after the start, NONE OTHER shifted in marginally and bumped NICE FANDANGO which in turn shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of OTOUTO, causing that horse to become unbalanced.

HALL OF FAME lost its left front plate shortly after the start.

From the outside barriers, HALL OF FAME and SIGHT SEEING were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Despite being aggressively ridden in the early stages, SALSA BROTHERS failed to muster speed.

Near the 1050 Metres, NONE OTHER, which had been steadied to obtain cover, was bumped by NICE FANDANGO which shifted out.

REGENCY HONEY travelled wide and without cover until approaching the 600 Metres.

Making the turn near the 550 Metres, SHOWING CHARACTER became unbalanced and brushed the running rail when awkwardly placed close to the heels of SALSA BROTHERS.

Approaching the 400 Metres, NUMERO UNO was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SHOWING CHARACTER which shifted out away from the heels of SALSA BROTHERS.

Rounding the Home Turn, SHOWING CHARACTER raced in restricted room between SALSA BROTHERS and GENEROUS BOBO.

Passing the 300 Metres, OTOUTO was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MASTER VIKING after being disappointed for running inside that horse.

A veterinary inspection of NICE FANDANGO and GENEROUS BOBO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

GENEROUS BOBO, MASTER VIKING and REGENCY HONEY were sent for sampling.
