Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (682)-PACKING WINNER HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 3 - 1400Metres
DR WIN WIN was withdrawn on 27.5.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (unacceptable action).Before being allowed to race again, DR WIN WIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After leaving the Parade Ring but prior to entering the track, H Bowman was dislodged from SUNNY WAY without incident.
STARLIT KNIGHT was slow to begin.
SIR REDALOT began awkwardly.
DIAMOND DRAGON shifted in at the start and bumped WINNER DON'T MISS.
After this, from a wide barrier, DIAMOND DRAGON was steadied and shifted across behind runners.
Approaching the 900 Metres, SKYROCKETS was steadied away from the heels of SIR REDALOT (J Moreira) which shifted in when not properly clear.
J Moreira was advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
Approaching the 600 Metres, AGREE raced tight between DUKEDOM and SUNNY WAY which got its head on the side and lay in.
Rounding the Home turn, DIAMOND DRAGON shifted out and bumped STARLIT KNIGHT.
At the entrance to the Straight, WINNER DON'T MISS was shifted out away from the heels of AGREE which was taken out by DUKEDOM.
MIGHTY MAVERICK lay in under pressure in the Straight.
Throughout the race, WINNER DON'T MISS travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
A veterinary inspection of AGREE immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.
Before being allowed to race again, AGREE will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of CELESTIAL NOVA immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, CELESTIAL NOVA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on SKYROCKETS at the request of Trainer P F Yiu.
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.

SUNNY WAY, DUKEDOM and SIR REDALOT were sent for sampling.

Dukedom rolled off the fence at the 350m following a midfield run soon after straightening and quickened well to take control 60m out for a first win at his 10th start following a gear change to pacifiers. He arrived with a big reputation from New Zealand and hope this run is the making of him. Sir Redalot gave a terrific sight on the speed to find only one better in the end in a solid debut. His natural speed will be a great asset going forward and he'll be winning races shortly. Specked at long odds, Diamond Dragon came from the rear to easily take third in his first run over this trip. It was a much-improved run on his prior few starts and he'll need to frank this form. Punted late, Might Maverick had every chance travelling one-out, one-back. He bobs up now and then. Favourite Sunny Way ran on without menacing after easing back to travel deep behind midfield following a good start from a tricky gate. He likely had an off day. Skyrockets found nothing when push came to shove following a box-seat run. He's limited.
