Recap by phillip woo
Favourite Green Dispatch sat on the back of the leader, ranged up to poke his head in front at the 300m and just held off the late surge of Lotus Strikes Back and Happy Rocky for a second win from 10 starts this term. He'll find it harder at the top of the weights at this level or in Class Two. Lotus Strikes Back finished nicely after travelling third from the rear to get the bob down for second. He's pretty consistent over the 1,800m or 2,000m at either course and it was a good move to engage claimer Matthew Poon Ming-fai. In an odd good run this season, Happy Rocky closed nicely travelling fourth along the fence to make it close on the wire. Jolly Gene was swamped late for a placing but was given an easy time up front. Kyrus Bower made some ground from midfield. He has made some late ground in both outings but is a stayer in the making for next season.
