Punted late Planet Giant kept up a strong gallop after going forward from a wide gate to lead 1,050m out for an overdue win after putting the writing on the wall from an awkward draw last-time out. He'll remain in the grade and can score another. Born To Race just held off favourite Aeroluminace following a one-out, one-back run to finish a distant second following a downgrade. It's only a matter of time before he salutes at this level. Aeroluminace ran on steadily after travelling three deep with cover worse than midfield. He might be better suited over a longer trip. Spicy Double made some ground travelling ahead of midfield with cover from a wide gate to fill a Quartet spot. He's not reliable. High Speed Metro made headway down the outside after settling second from the rear from a bad draw. He's much more effective over a longer trip. Golden Partners was never on the track and can be forgiven for the run. True Comment was disappointing yet again following a rail's run in midfield despite a downgrade.
