Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (583)-KOWLOON TSAI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres
RAINBOW FIGHTER began awkwardly.SHOWING CHARACTER shifted in at the start and brushed RESPLENDENT GLORY.
HOT HOT PEPPER and NASHASHUK bumped on jumping.
From the outside barriers, GODSPEED, SHARPMIND, SEE ME NOW and PROUD SKY were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 1050 Metres, RAINBOW FIGHTER raced tight between GREAT SKY and GODSPEED which got its head on the side and shifted in away from SHARPMIND.
N Callan (PACKING STARCRAFT) was fined $7,000 for weighing in 2 lbs overweight after the race.
A veterinary inspection of SHARPMIND immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
NASHASHUK, RESPLENDENT GLORY and SHOWING CHARACTER were sent for sampling.

Punted late, Resplendent Glory quickened nicely after peeling into the open 300m out following a midfield run to win going away 60m out at only his third start and first at the Valley following a stable change. He appears to have plenty more to offer and will be winning more races. Showing Character dashed to the front 180m out following a box-seat run and found one too good in the end. He just ran into a promising sort and should be adding to two earlier Class Five successes. Favourite Nashashuk kept plugging away to finish a clear-cut third following a one-out, one-back run. He might need a longer trip now. Hot Hot Pepper found a few too smart after dictating the run. He's honest but has trouble saluting off his current mark. Winningli stuck on better after stalking the speed following a gear change to blinkers. There might be a race for him in Class Five with a bit more experience. See Me Now finished well after travelling third from the rear from a wide gate. An unexpected win two back doesn't appear to be a fluke on the back of this run and he might pop up for another if he can draw a gate.
