Recap by phillip woo

In no hurry second from the rear from a wide gate, Agiaal came on strongly down the outside to get up 20m out to chalk one up for the ages. He was suited by the pace but always given the impression he's better than Class Five. Easter Prowess sustained his move 600m out from beyond midfield to poke his head in front 50m out only to get collared late. He relished a return to the Valley after a positive run two back in Class Four and looks like he can get away with a race soon. Malayan Pearl landed a nice spot one off in fourth and wore down favourite My Blessing in the shadows of the post for a placing. The return to visors appeared to help but he has always been capable of a big run at this level. Favourite My Blessing found the front 200m out following a perfect run fore of midfield along the fence but peaked on his run 100m out. He's likely one that can't carry big weights. Danewin Express ran his usual honest race to pick up a cheque without menacing. He's limited. Gentlemen had his chance in the box-seat but found nothing inside the final 150m. Prefer to let him beat us instead of burn us when he next steps out.

Racing Incident Report

Race Two: (582)-KOWLOON BAY HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Metres

DANEWIN EXPRESS began only fairly and shortly after the start bumped EASTERN PROWESS.

Shortly after the start, RED SUN shifted out and bumped AGIAAL.

Then from the outside barriers, both RED SUN and AGIAAL were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

PRECISIONCRAFTSMAN was also steadied shortly after the start to obtain cover.

Approaching the 700 Metres, EASTERN PROWESS got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of DANEWIN EXPRESS and shifted out.

EASTERN PROWESS consequently raced wide and without cover.

Passing the 300 Metres, MALAYAN PEARL was shifted in away from the heels of DASHING FORTUNE.

The performance of RED SUN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, RED SUN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of DOUBLE POINT immediately following the race found the horse to have blood present at the right nostril.

An endoscopic examination conducted on DOUBLE POINT confirmed the horse to be a bleeder.

MY BLESSING, AGIAAL and EASTERN PROWESS were sent for sampling.
