Racing Incident Report
Race One: (571)-CHEUNG LIN SHAN PLATE - Griffin Race - 1000Metres
ELEGANCE PROMISE, which proved difficult to load, will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test before being allowed to race again.LUCKY REIGN began only fairly.
CONFUCIUS WARRIOR was slow to begin and then shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY MASTER which shifted out after being bumped by RIVERSIDE BIRD.
Throughout the race, AMUSING CITY lay in and passing the 400 Metres shifted in and bumped CONFUCIUS WARRIOR, causing both horses to become unbalanced.
CONFUCIUS WARRIOR again shifted out and made further contact with AMUSING CITY passing the 350 Metres.
Passing the 200 Metres, CONFUCIUS WARRIOR and AMUSING CITY raced tight.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY REIGN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CONFUCIUS WARRIOR, AMUSING CITY and LUCKY MASTER were sent for sampling.

Amusing City was ridden along to share the lead with Confucius Spirit on the stands side and showed determination to wear down early favourite Lucky Master when clearly headed 250m out to get up in the shadows of the post for the win. The nine pound weight swing was the difference in the end but he's got mounds of improvement to come. Lucky Master was up with the leaders travelling nicely in the run, hit the front 250m out and found one just better on the day. He's built to be a sprinter and should come on for this run. Late-fancied favourite Confucius Spirit grudgingly gave way over the last 150m after quickly recovering following an awkward start to dictate the running one off the outside fence. He'll need more time and experience. Riverside Bird was always travelling a distant fourth on the far side and just held his ground and needs a lot more work. Lucky Reign got by the tiring Elegance Promise after being detached from the field. He needs much longer trips. Elegance Promise just doesn't have his head screwed on right yet.
