Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (548)-WO CHE HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1650Metres
DIAMOND FRIENDS began awkwardly and lost ground.EQUITY DOCTRINE shifted out at the start and bumped CHEERFUL FRAME.
From wide barriers, VIVACIOUS WINNER, ATOMIC BLAST and DOUBLE POINT were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
For some distance approaching the 1000 Metres, SOCCER BRAVE travelled keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of EMPEROR VICTORY.
After the 1000 Metres, CONSISTENT (Apprentice H T Mo) was taken into a position three wide and without cover by EMPEROR VICTORY which shifted out away from the heels of FIVE STARS AGENT.
Apprentice Mo was shown the video of this section of the race and was informed of measures he could have employed to prevent being taken wider at this time.
Making the turn near the 700 Metres, CHEERFUL FRAME got its head up when being checked away from the heels of EQUITY DOCTRINE.
At the entrance to the Straight, BEST JADE TRIUMPH was struck over the nose by the whip of N Callan (HOLY UNICORN).
Near the 50 Metres, HOLY UNICORN was checked away from the heels of BEST JADE TRIUMPH after shifting out away from DIAMOND FRIENDS.
For the majority of the race, BEST JADE TRIUMPH travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of CHEERFUL FRAME immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
A veterinary inspection of ATOMIC BLAST immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FIVE STARS AGENT and CONSISTENT were sent for sampling.

Favourite Five Stars Agent was nicely rated under Kei Chiong Ka-kei after assuming the lead 1,200m out from Emperor Victory and kept finding for a first win at his 18th start. He had been knocking on the door in recent runs and looks like he can hold his own now up in grade off a light weight over a mile on either surface. Consistent couldn't trouble the winner but kept battling away following a one-out, one-back run to just hold second. He's always a chance at this level. Emperor Victory kept grinding away after leading early on to hold a placing. He's in the right grade and might be picking up a race soon. Soccer Brave had all favours in the box-seat and just held on for fourth. He's found it harder after a sharp penalty following a December win. Double Point whizzed home from last to nearly get the bob down for a Quartet spot in an encouraging first run on this surface. Diamond Friends ran on steadily without menacing after recovering from an awkward start to travel worse than midfield on the fence. It wasn't a bad effort and he's clearly capable of winning a race at this level. Second favourite Atomic Blast didn't appreciate the muddling early fractions and never fired.
