Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (541)-THE CUHK ALUMNI CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1400Metres
From the outside barriers, WHY WHY and SMART BABY were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.GOLDEN SLEEP shifted out at the start and bumped CONVINCIBLE.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, PRETTY BAUHINIA commenced to travel keenly when being steadied to allow HINYUEN SWIFTNESS to cross.
Passing the 1000 Metres, REGENCY BO BO momentarily raced in restricted room inside GOLDEN SLEEP which was taken in by PRETTY BAUHINIA (N Rawiller) which rolled in marginally before being shifted back out to relieve the tightening to REGENCY BO BO and GOLDEN SLEEP.
N Rawiller was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.
Near the 500 Metres, GOLDEN SLEEP commenced to travel keenly and was checked away from the heels of INTREPIC.
After being unable to obtain clear running inside KINGSFIELD in the early part of the Straight, REGENCY BO BO was then shifted out after the 300 Metres to obtain clear running.
Throughout the race, RED ELYSEES travelled wide and without cover.
SILVERFIELD lost its left front plate after the race.
A veterinary inspection of WHY WHY and INTREPIC immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
KINGSFIELD and REGENCY BO BO were sent for sampling.

Kingsfield was perfectly rated on the lead and just held off the raging favourite Regency Bo Bo for a first win at his 15th start. He had run some decent races earlier on and the win was not a surprise. Regency Bo Bo was held up for a run until peeling into the open 230m out following a midfield run after a sluggish break and finished well to make it close. He should have won with a bit of luck in the run. Convincible kept grinding away following a prominent run along the fence to fill a placing. The big weight was again the culprit in the end. Pretty Bauhinia caught the eye when finishing up nicely to be a clear fourth following a deep run with cover in midfield at only his second start. He was suited by the rise in trip and won't be far off a win at a mile and under. Ben So Ting-hung, on Silverfield, didn't react quick enough to take the run 250m out from Regency Bo Bo which cost him momentum and likely a placing. He had been running well and can put an asterisk on this run. Smiling Charm got going late without menacing from near the back. It might be logical to try him over a mile again.
