Firming favourite Nothingilikemore was well rated after easily finding the front from gate 13 and impressively drew clear to win with something in hand against a quality field to remain unbeaten in two outings. He's got loads of ability and remains one to follow. Regency Bo Bo kept plugging away following a one-out, one-back run to just edge Super Sixteen for second with a tonne of money for him late. He ran well in defeat and will be able to score shortly. In a change of tactics, Super Sixteen just failed by a bob of heads to grab second following a box-seat run in his first try over the 1,400m at his third start. He might be better suited ridden held up. Smiling Charm closed off well. after travelling deep beyond midfield to finish a close fourth despite a rise in class. He might have more to offer after winning two of five in Class Four.

Race Ten: (435)-TAK KU LING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Metres

AMAZING RACE, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 17.2.17 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore).

Before being allowed to race again, AMAZING RACE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Trainer P O'Sullivan was fined the sum of $3,000 for presenting AVELLINO in the Parade Ring with a tongue tie, a gear for which the horse had not been approved to race in.

EXPERTO CREDE was slow to begin.

FIRST FONTEIN was steadied on jumping and shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier.

Also from outside barriers, AVELLINO and FRIENDS OF NANJING were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Passing the 1200 Metres, MONGOLIAN KING, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when being checked away from the heels of TANG FLEMING which was being steadied to obtain a trailing position behind SMILING CHARM.

After the 1000 Metres, CLUB LIFE was left racing wide and without cover.

Rounding the Home Turn, SUPER SIXTEEN and JADE THEATRE raced tight.

Passing the 400 Metres, EXPERTO CREDE was shifted to the outside of SUPER SIXTEEN after being disappointed for running inside that horse.

GENEROUS HEART was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight.

NOTHINGILIKEMORE and REGENCY BO BO were sent for sampling.

15 February 2017 Happy Valley Racemeeting - Race 4 (421) After reviewing the video footage for the Happy Valley racemeeting conducted on Wednesday, 15 February 2017 as is usual, the Stewards today questioned K C Leung regarding his riding of WILD BOY in the early stages of the race.

K C Leung stated that it had been anticipated that GRACYDAD and MASTER VIKING, which had drawn immediately to the inside of WILD BOY in gates 1 and 2 respectively, would be ridden to go forward.

He said he was aware that GRACYDAD had previously led in some of its races over the course and distance so he was aware that that horse possesses good early speed.

He said he was therefore asked to ride WILD BOY in about 3rd or 4th position behind either MASTER VIKING or GRACYDAD.

He said WILD BOY began well and was able to take up a forward position and he was aware that GRACYDAD was being ridden along to maintain its position to its inside.

He said although the tempo of the race was not overly strong in the early stages, he believed that he would have had to ride WILD BOY along to cross GRACYDAD as he anticipated that that rider would not allow WILD BOY to cross, particularly given that there were horses from wider barriers also being ridden forward.

He added making the first turn after the 1100 Metres he received a call from the rider of GRACYDAD to alert him that he was not clear of that horse and for this reason he remained racing in the one-off position.

He said in doing this he did not have to make too much use of the horse and he believed that this would provide WILD BOY with the best opportunity to close off strongly.

K C Leung was advised that his explanation would be reported.

Omission from Racing Incidents Report of 15 February 2017 Happy Valley Racemeeting - Race 8 (425) Approaching the 150 Metres, A Badel (RICKFIELD) dropped his whip.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Happy Valley Racemeeting on 15 February 2017 The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that FRUITFUL LIFE was lame in its right front leg on the morning after racing.

Before being allowed to race again, FRUITFUL LIFE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of OCEAN ROAR, BEAUTY CONNECTION, PO CHING TREASURE, MEGATRON, UNICORN, SPICY SURE, GRACYDAD, HEALTHY LUCK, LOVE SHOCK, HELLA HEDGE, FLYING TOURBILLON, BLOCKER DEE, SEA JADE, PACKING DRAGON, CIRCUIT LAND, EASY HEDGE, RICKFIELD and SHARP SAILOR revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of MY BLESSING, BLISS CARTEL, ALL TOGETHER, SHOW MISSION, GRADE ONE, ARM RUNDA, RAY OF GOLD, POWERMAX, CIRCUIT KING, PREMIUM CHAMPION, BLAZING PASS, SUPER FORM, FLYING FORCE, OUR HERO, I'M A WITNESS, BULLISH SMART, BIG BANG BONG, RAGING BULL, VICTORY MARVEL and PEACE N PROSPERITY (8.2.17) proved negative.
