Recap by phillip woo
Favourite California Disegno rallied well after travelling ahead of midfield to mow them down 50m out for a first win at his 10th start following a good second behind the classy Beauty Generation. He's fully acclimatised now and might be suited by a step to 1,800m in the future. Specked late, Circuit Hassler finished strongly after peeling into the open at the 150m after travelling third from the rear to nip Travel First for second at only his fourth run. He's quickly coming to hand and won't be far off a winning run over a mile and possibly 1,800m. Plunged late, Travel First wouldn't go down without a fight after working to the lead 1,300m. He produces an odd good run at times. Ultimate Glory stayed on reasonably well following a prominent run. Wait for him down in Class Three over the mile on either surface or track. Baba Mama was always ducking and weaving about to gain a clear run following a rails run behind midfield. He might not have won but should have figured in the placings. Let Us Win was held up until the 100m following a patient ride second from the rear. He had excuses.
