Racing Incident Report
Race One: (390)-AZALEA HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Metres
On arrival at the Start, it was noted that FANTASTICLIFE had lost its left front plate.This plate was replaced after which the Veterinary Officer reported that FANTASTICLIFE was suitable to race.
SUPERNATURAL was slow to begin.
From wide barriers, HAR HAR CHARMING and OPTIMISM were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
NOBLE BUDDIES, which began awkwardly, was bumped by PLAIN BLUE BANNER shortly after the start.
Passing the 1100 Metres, NOBLE BUDDIES was left racing wide and without cover.
Rounding the Home Turn, MASSIVE POWER and PLAIN BLUE BANNER bumped as PLAIN BLUE BANNER attempted to shift out into clear running.
Passing the 200 Metres, FANTASTICLIFE was shifted out away from the heels of POWER DRAGON which was commencing to give ground.
Throughout the race, MAGIC STAR travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of GOLDEN CANNON, POWER DRAGON and NO LAUGHING MATTER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GOLDEN CANNON, RED HORSE and MASSIVE POWER were sent for sampling.

Red Horse came on nicely after a lovely run one off with cover travelling fore of midfield to hit the front 100m out and just held off Massive Power for a maiden win at his ninth outing. He did have youth on his side. Early favourite Massive Power finished strongly after a deep run with cover beyond midfield to notch a third straight placing. He can strike at any moment and may be ready to tackle the mile again. Magic Star was swamped late after leading 250m out following a prominent run without cover in a vastly-improved effort with the hood and pacifiers removed. He'll need to prove this was no one off performance. Jumping better than usual, Danewin Express kept grinding away following a handy run along the fence to finish level for fourth with Laughing Lord. He hasn't been far off clearing the final hurdle in this grade but may need a bit more relief in the ratings. Laughing Lord closed off reasonably well after making his run underneath Massive Power from a wide gate to make it a blanket finish on the wire. He's gone better in his past two starts, including this one in cheek pieces, and may be near a bottom. Late-fancied favourite Golden Cannon weakened 150m out after being hustled to lead from a tricky gate.
