Recap by phillip woo

Punted late Smiling Charm came on nicely after travelling worse than midfield to win going away 100m out for a second win in a very competitive Class Four. He's produced mixed results in his five outings but certainly has ability. World Record defied a deep run without cover in midfield to finish a solid second. He's racing well and can add to two earlier wins this term. Glenealy Prize stormed home late down the outside after trailing the field for the most part to snatch a placing. He might be recapturing his best form again and can pop up at any time. The Full Bloom finished well after a three-deep run with cover beyond midfield to just miss a placing. He's not reliable. Magnetism was held up at a crucial stage in the straight drive when getting going from near last. He should have finished closer. Late-fancied favourite Outlawed grudgingly gave way after working early on to land a spot one-out, one-back from a wide gate. He's in the right grade and won't be far off a winning run. Team Sweet never let down after travelling fifth from the rear to continue his disappointing form despite continual support in the market. He's not genuine and will need to drop lower in the handicaps.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (339)-TSUNG PAK LONG HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Metres

On arrival at the saddling stalls, it was noted that SMILING CHARM had minor abrasions on the left hock.

SMILING CHARM was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race.

GLENEALY PRIZE began only fairly and shortly after the start was shifted across behind runners.

WINGOLD began awkwardly.

From the outside barrier, THE FULL BLOOM was steadied in the early stages and taken across to a position closer to the rail with cover.

In the early stages, despite being ridden along, ARGENTUM failed to muster speed and near the 1300 Metres was steadied away from the heels of SKY TREASURE which shifted out.

Passing the 1300 Metres, GLENEALY PRIZE became unbalanced.

Approaching the 800 Metres, WORLD RECORD was left racing wide and without cover.

Prior to the 700 Metres, REGENCY HORSE came under pressure and commenced to give ground.

ARGENTUM, which was following, was hampered and lost ground and near the 600 Metres was checked away from the heels of REGENCY HORSE which continued to give ground.

REGENCY HORSE was then eased down prior to the Home Turn.

A veterinary inspection of REGENCY HORSE immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.

Passing the 350 Metres, SMILING CHARM was awkwardly placed close to the heels of WINGOLD.

Over the final 150 Metres, TEAM SWEET was unable to obtain clear running and consequently was not able to be properly tested.

When finishing off the race well, MAGNETISM was held up for clear running from passing the 150 Metres until near the 75 Metres.

The performance of SKY TREASURE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, SKY TREASURE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

OUTLAWED, SMILING CHARM and WORLD RECORD were sent for sampling.
