Favourite Seasons Bloom was ridden for luck along the inside after a rail's trip behind midfield following a tardy break and easily picked them off when gaining a clear run 150m out. He's destined for much better things and should be effective up to a mile. Regency Bo Bo went forward from a wide gate to punch the breeze in second at the 900m and found one too good after assuming the front 250m. It was a good run in defeat following a rise in class and he's a runner with points in hand. Beat The Clock had his chance after being restrained to sit prominent in the run but was only beaten by two promising individuals. He's still a work in progress and will have more days in the sunshine. Jolly Convergence grudgingly gave way after being hard ridden to emerge with the lead from a wide gate. He's found his feet in two recent outings at this level and a win won't be far away over the 1,200m or 1,400m. Agree made some ground without menacing.

Racing Incident Report

Race Ten: (306)-SUNSET PEAK HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Metres

WUSHU CHAMPION began awkwardly.

SEASONS BLOOM was slow to begin, Shortly after the start, MONGOLIAN KING was crowded for room between BEAT THE CLOCK and JOLLY CONVERGENCE which shifted in.

After this, from a wide barrier, MONGOLIAN KING was shifted across behind runners.

LE PANACHE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After being crossed by JOLLY CONVERGENCE (Apprentice H T Mo) near the 1000 Metres, GO BABY GO proved difficult to settle and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of JOLLY CONVERGENCE for some distance.

Apprentice Mo was warned against the practice of easing the pace of races too abruptly.

After the 1000 Metres, PROUD SKY proved very difficult to settle and was checked away from the heels of WUSHU CHAMPION.

Passing the 900 Metres, BEAT THE CLOCK shifted out away from the heels of GO BABY GO which continued to be awkwardly placed close to the heels of JOLLY CONVERGENCE.

After this, BEAT THE CLOCK became awkwardly placed close to the heels of REGENCY BO BO.

Making the turn after the 900 Metres, PRINCIPAL, which throughout the race travelled wide and without cover, was bumped by THE SUPREME which shifted out when awkwardly placed close to the heels of REGENCY BO BO.

After this, THE SUPREME raced wide and without cover.

Near the 650 Metres, STAR SUPERIOR was crowded for room between PRINCIPAL and EL SHERIF which shifted out away from the heels of BEAT THE CLOCK when that horse was again steadied away from the heels of REGENCY BO BO.

MONGOLIAN KING lay out making the Home Turn.

Passing the 400 Metres, WUSHU CHAMPION was shifted to the inside of EL SHERIF after being held up for clear running behind that horse.

The performance of PRINCIPAL, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, PRINCIPAL will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

SEASONS BLOOM and REGENCY BO BO were sent for sampling.
