Recap by phillip woo

There were no surprises. Raging favourite Pakistan Star exerted his class following a midfield run to win going away 180m out as expected. He was a handicapping certainty and still shows signs of immaturity in the run but does have room to head higher. Sea Jade gave a decent sight on the speed at level weights with the winner despite an 11- pound difference in the handicaps. He's still one to follow at the Valley. Look Eras was beaten for speed but rallied late to finish a distant third. He'll still need to prove himself when next stepping out in Class Three. The also rans were a weak and inexperienced bunch.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (288)-THE GRIFFIN TROPHY - Restricted - 1400Metres

ZOOMOOL began only fairly.

In the early stages, LOOK ERAS was steadied and shifted across behind runners.

Passing the 600 Metres, LOOK ERAS was momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of AMRITSARIA.

Passing the 200 Metres, PAKISTAN STAR got its head on the side and lay in.

After the race, Z Purton (SEA JADE) reported that his saddle shifted forward in the middle stages, placing him at a slight disadvantage.

PAKISTAN STAR and SEA JADE were sent for sampling.
