Recap by phillip woo
Money was spot on for Showing Character who made use of gate one on the rails in midfield to win going away 150m out for back-to-back successes following the addition of a tongue-tie. He could remain competitive off a lightweight despite a return to Class Four. The future looks bleak for the rest when the next best is three lengths in behind. Happy Century did have a tough run in midfield but still came home well to grab second. He has gone better in his past two starts following the removal of the blinkers. Treasure And Gold made good ground down two from the outside after fading to last at the 700m to snare a placing from Forever Fun. He has trouble winning but has come on nicely to fill the frame in his past two at both tracks and three of six outings this term. Forever Fun had every chance after easing back to travel in the box-seat behind Noble Buddies. He'll require a claimer's allowance. Early favourite Manhattan Striker was given every chance following a prominent run and found nothing when asked for an effort in the drive even with 'King Of Class Five' Joao Moreira hopping on board.
