Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (214)-CHEVALIER CONSTRUCTION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Metres
ART OF SUCCESS began awkwardly and then shortly after the start lost ground when crowded for room between EXPONENTS and YOU KNOW WHO which shifted out.STARLIGHT and STAR OF PATCH bumped on jumping.
ROYALE ELEGANCE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 300 Metres, STAR OF PATCH shifted out and bumped STARLIGHT.
STAR OF PATCH got its head on the side and again shifted out approaching the 200 Metres, resulting in STARLIGHT being steadied away from the heels of that horse.
In this incident, STARLIGHT shifted out, resulting in GLORY HORSIE being taken out onto KWAICHUNG BROTHERS which became unbalanced when racing in restricted room inside EXPONENTS.
STAR OF PATCH then hung out for the remainder of the race and proved difficult to ride.
At the 100 Metres, YOU KNOW WHO was steadied when momentarily crowded for room between GOLDEN GLORY which shifted in away from the heels of FOX SUNTER and EXPONENTS which shifted to the outside of BUMBLE BABY to continue improving.
Over the concluding stages, GOLDEN GLORY and EXPONENTS raced tight.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FOX SUNTER had bled from both nostrils.
A veterinary inspection of STARLIGHT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ACE KING and PREMIERE were sent for sampling.

Ace King showed them a clean pair of heels after breaking alertly to notch a second win from three course-and-distance outings this term. He's good more points in hand over this trip. Favourite Premiere struck one too smart on the day after stalking the speed. He's done little wrong in his four starts and it's only a matter of time before he salutes. Star Of Patch finished well in the centre of the course despite laying out under pressure over the final 200m from midfield to grab a placing in his debut. He was never going to catch the top pair but it was a pleasing first appearance and does appear to have a promising future. sRoyale Elegance made good ground late on the far side to snatch a Quartet spot. He's gotten up to just miss placings in four of five outings this term but his consistency keeps him at the top of the weights in this grade.
