Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (210)-HUNG HOM HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 3 - 1650Metres
On arrival at the Start, the tongue tie fitted to SUNNY WIN was replaced.CHOICE TREASURE, which was fractious in the barriers, began only fairly and then shortly after the start was crowded for room between BIG BANG BONG and SUPER FLUKE which shifted in and brushed BIG BANG BONG.
Shortly after the start, SUPER FLUKE was steadied after being crowded for room inside HAPPY SPIRIT (N Callan) which shifted in before being directed out abruptly to relieve the tightening to SUPER FLUKE.
N Callan was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he makes every endeavour to prevent his mounts from shifting ground.
From the outside barriers, ACTUARIAT and TRAVEL DATUK were shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.
After the 1000 Metres, SUNNY WIN was left racing wide and without cover and after the 800 Metres was allowed to improve its position to race outside the lead near the 600 Metres.
Approaching the 900 Metres, BIG BANG BONG commenced to prove difficult to settle and was checked away from the heels of SILLY BUDDIES.
HAPPY SPIRIT lost its left hind plate after the 400 Metres.
At the entrance to the Straight, SILLY BUDDIES shifted out and bumped BIG BANG BONG.
T H So (SUNNY WIN) was cautioned against raising his whip arm above the height of his shoulder.
A veterinary inspection of BIG BANG BONG and CHOICE TREASURE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
THE SYLPH, SUNNY WIN and HAPPY SPIRIT were sent for sampling.

Sunny Win shrugged off a very tough run deep without cover near the speed for the most part from a wide gate to wear down Happy Spirit in the shadows of the post for a second straight win despite a rise in class. He deserves a good rest after this enormous run and appears to have the tools to head higher. Happy Spirit did nothing wrong and just found one a whisker too good after dictating the run. He's always a chance over a mile or 1,800m on the speed over this course. Favourite The Sylph just ran down Super Fluke 50m out for third after easing back to make his run in midfield along the fence in another honest performance over this Valley trip. He might not have too many points in hand. Super Fluke stayed on all right to just miss a placing after travelling keenly in the box-seat following a check some after the break. Sky King never let down after travelling behind midfield and one off the fence despite a tonne of money for him late. He has failed to find his legs in four starts after ending last term with back-to-back wins to 1,400m and might be on his mark for the time being.
