Favourite Molly's Jade Star was much too good after holding the fence on the lead to make it two straight over this course and distance despite setting a genuine pace. He has the ability to win more off a lightweight in a higher grade. Who'sthedude got going late after travelling third from the rear along the inside to fill the Quinella spot. He continues to be competitive in three outings at this level following a Class Four win and in the right race could claim another win. Balay Balay is certainly a winner waiting to happen after getting home third best following a midfield run. It was his second positive performance following a step back to sprinting. Trump just grabbed a Quartet spot following a midfield run. He's gone well in his past two sprints but a return to the mile is likely what he wants. Numero Uno made ground from the rear after getting steadied at the start. If he had jumped away cleanly, he would have gone close to placing.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (193)-HANSHIN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Metres

RAGING BULL was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind).

Before being allowed to race again, RAGING BULL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

NUMERO UNO, which was restless in the barriers, began only fairly and then shortly after the start was crowded for room between HAPPY BAO BEI which shifted in marginally and BALAY BALAY which shifted out after being bumped by MOLLY'S JADE STAR.

From wide barriers, WHO'STHEDUDE and BOTH LUCKY were steadied shortly after the start and shifted across behind runners.

Making the first turn near the 1050 Metres, RAINBOW FIGHTER proved difficult to settle and shifted out towards the heels of TRUMP.

Making the turn after the 600 Metres, LAMAROSA was bumped by HAPPY BAO BEI which got its head on the side and shifted out.

Also making the turn after the 600 Metres, RAINBOW FIGHTER and WHO'STHEDUDE bumped.

Approaching the 500 Metres, SWEET HOME was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BULLISH SMART.

Rounding the Home Turn, BOTH LUCKY was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BULLISH SMART and then in the early part of the Straight raced tight inside that horse and behind TRUMP.

BOTH LUCKY then had difficulty obtaining clear running and passing the 200 Metres was crowded when improving into tight running between LAMAROSA which was giving ground and HAPPY BAO BEI which shifted out when also giving ground.

Throughout the race, LAMAROSA travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.

A veterinary inspection of LAMAROSA immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, LAMAROSA will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of HAPPY BAO BEI immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

MOLLY'S JADE STAR and WHO'STHEDUDE were sent for sampling.
