Racing Incident Report
Race Five: (153)-HEBE HILL HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 3 - 1200Metres
JOYFUL PARK began only fairly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT shifted out at the start and bumped BIG BANG BONG A short distance after the start, BIG BANG BONG was steadied when crowded for room between PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT which continued to shift out and VICTORY MARVEL.
Approaching the 950 Metres, PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT was momentarily crowded for room inside STAR SUPERIOR (O Doleuze) which shifted in before being straightened.
A short distance later, PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT was steadied away from the heels of STAR SUPERIOR which shifted in when not properly clear.
O Doleuze was severely reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is properly clear when shifting ground.
Approaching the 300 Metres, HELLA HEDGE and HARBOUR ALERT bumped.
Throughout the race, HARBOUR ALERT travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned regarding the performance of VICTORY MARVEL, Z Purton stated that the horse, which was having its first start on the surface tonight, travelled only fairly during the race.
He said when travelling behind horses, VICTORY MARVEL appeared to resent the kickback and making the first turn near the 700 Metres shifted out and was awkwardly placed inside the heels of SKY MAN.
He said after this VICTORY MARVEL came off the bridle and he had to ride his mount along in an endeavour to have the horse maintain its position.
He added whilst VICTORY MARVEL was somewhat awkwardly placed outside the heels of STAR SUPERIOR in the Straight, his mount was not finishing off the race and, in his opinion, was disappointing.
A veterinary inspection of VICTORY MARVEL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
When questioned regarding the performance of CALL ME AWESOME, N Rawiller stated that approaching the 900 Metres he steadied CALL ME AWESOME as he was aware that STAR SUPERIOR, which was racing in advance of CALL ME AWESOME was shifting in.
He said when he did this, CAL ME AWESOME commenced to prove difficult to settle and got its head up for some distance.
He said after being crossed by STAR SUPERIOR near the 800 Metres, CALL ME AWESOME continued to travel keenly and making the first turn near the 700 Metres shifted out and bumped PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT.
He said after this CALL ME AWESOME continued to lay out making the turns and near the 500 Metres was awkwardly placed inside the heels of VICTORY MARVEL.
He added when placed under pressure in the Straight, CALL ME AWESOME did not close off the race.
A veterinary inspection of CALL ME AWESOME immediately following the race including an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, CALL ME AWESOME will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of PRESIDENTPARAMOUNT immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
TEAM FORTUNE and FISH N' CHIPS were sent for sampling.

Team Fortune defied a deep run with cover in midfield from a wide gate to mow them down 50m out to remain unbeaten in three straight outings on this surface. He'll hold his own up in grade off a lightweight. Fish N' Chips has run been running well in defeat and gave another good sight vying for the lead along the inside off a postage stamp weight to out-duel Harbour Alert by a lip for second. Harbour Alert rolled forward to share the lead three deep without cover the entire trip from a tricky gate and wouldn't go down without a fight. He's overdue for a win with placings in 11 of 19 starts and will get a golden chance with Team Fortune leaving this grade if he draws a proper gate. Big Bang Bong showed little in five prior starts on both surfaces but came from the back to fill a Quartet spot with a drop in distance. Still need some convincing. Star Superior kept on reasonably well following a handy run. He's on the right path after running on without menacing in two other starts but may prefer the 1,400m or mile when fully acclimatised. Victory Marvel didn't handle the switch to dirt following four solid runs on the turf this term.
