Golden Sun drove through to lead along the inside at the 800m and kept up a strong gallop to ring up a first local win following a surface switch at his ninth start. The dirt appears to be his meal ticket. Generous Bobo stayed on well following a prominent run one off the fence to hold off Hurricane Kid for second in a return to form with a drop in grade and switch in surfaces. He should be picking up a sprint on either surface if he remains in this class. Hurricane Kid closed off two from the right from midfield to nearly land a Quinella spot with money for him late. He's capable on this surface but not easy to get right. I'm The Won For U was kept without cover up on the speed by Generous Bobo and had to settle for fourth in the end. He's been in the thick of the finish in four straight runs but may require the claimer's allowance off a lighter weight to claim a first win. Both Helen's Choice and Rewarding Flyer ran on from the second half of the field without menacing.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (152)-SHEK UK SHAN HANDICAP (Sec2) - Class 4 - 1200Metres

EMPIRE OF MONGOLIA was difficult to load and then began only fairly.

Before being allowed to race again, EMPIRE OF MONGOLIA will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

SEASONS KING was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Despite being ridden along in the early stages, REWARDING FLYER failed to muster speed.

Making the turn after the 700 Metres, HURRICANE KID was awkwardly placed close to the heels of I'M THE WON FOR U.

Passing the 350 Metres, I'M THE WON FOR U was bumped by GENEROUS BOBO (N Rawiller) which, after initially being awkwardly placed close to the heels of LOOKS LIKE THE CAT which shifted out, then shifted out further away from the heels of that horse.

N Rawiller was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he does not make undue contact with other horses when improving his position.

Close to the finishing line, GENEROUS BOBO shifted out towards I'M THE WON FOR U, obliging its rider, N Rawiller, to momentarily stop riding and straighten his mount.

For the majority of the race, I'M THE WON FOR U travelled wide and without cover.

When questioned regarding the performance of BOSSIEE, J Moreira stated that he had been asked to ride the horse positively from the outside barrier.

He said after being placed in the barriers, BOSSIEE was quite relaxed and when the start was effected, despite being ridden along, BOSSIEE did not show any early speed and for this reason he shifted the horse across behind runners which resulted in it racing towards the rear of the field.

He said making the first turn BOSSIEE commenced to travel keenly and he had to shift the horse out away from the heels of CONFUCIUS SPIRIT.

He said after this BOSSIEE got its head on the side and hung out and, despite being placed under heavy pressure rounding the Home Turn, was disappointing in its failure to respond to his riding.

A veterinary inspection of BOSSIEE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A veterinary inspection of SEASONS KING immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left hind leg.

Before being allowed to race again, SEASONS KING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

I'M THE WON FOR U, GOLDEN SUN and GENEROUS BOBO were sent for sampling.
