Racing Incident Report
Race Ten: (148)-ROSELLE HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Metres
HAPPY SURVEYS and LITTERATEUR were slow to begin.HIT THE BID began only fairly and then shortly after the start lost ground when crowded for room between CHARITY JOY and FLYING TOURBILLON which shifted out.
From the outside barrier, MIDNIGHT RATTLER was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
Passing the 650 Metres, APOLLO'S CHOICE shifted in and bumped BACK IN BLACK.
Passing the 350 Metres, HAPPY SURVEYS was shifted to the inside of TURF SPRINT after being disappointed for running between that horse and BULLISH SMART which shifted in when commencing to give ground.
Passing the 300 Metres, HIT THE BID was shifted to the outside of FLYING TOURBILLON after being disappointed for running inside that horse.
Passing the 100 Metres, BACK IN BLACK raced tight outside DRAGON GENERAL which shifted out.
Over the concluding stages, BACK IN BLACK then shifted out away from DRAGON GENERAL, resulting in APOLLO'S CHOICE being hampered.
Passing the winning post, FLYING TOURBILLON jumped a shadow and became unbalanced.
Throughout the race, BULLISH SMART travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of TURF SPRINT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BLOCKER DEE and FLYING TOURBILLON were sent for sampling.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Happy Valley Racemeeting on 26 October 2016 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of GREAT SPEED, WORLD CITY, MANHATTAN STRIKER, SPICY DOUBLE, MUTUAL JOY, DOUBLE POINT, NEWSWIRE FREE, SPARKLING SWORD, KING BOUNTIFUL, BO DUKE, WINASWEWISH, HARBOUR MASTER, SUPER LIFELINE, BEAUTY CONNECTION, MOMENT OF POWER, TRUMP, SUPER FLUKE and PEARL WARM WARM revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of ST YAZIN, GIDDY GIDDY, FLYING MACHINE, CHOICE EXCHEQUER, HIGH VOLATILITY, WILD BOY, NASHASHUK, SUPREME FLIGHT, LOVE CHUNGHWA, A BEAUTIFUL, WAH MAY BABY, INVENTOR, SUPER SPRINTER, PENNY LANE, GO GO WIN, VICTORY MARVEL, WHO ELSE BUT YOU, HANG'S DECISION, NAVAS and HAPPY BAO BEI (19.10.16) proved negative.

Late-fancied favourite Blocker Dee was well rated after working to the front from a wide gat 950m out and had enough in the tank to hold off Flying Tourbillon for back-to-back wins and continue his fabulous form over this Valley trip. He's still not done winning. Early favourite Flying Tourbillon took advantage of a good gate and closed off well near the inside following a rails run in midfield to finish a close second. This was a strong Class Two and it'll pay to keep him safe when next stepping out.
