It might not pan out to be a strong form race. Fancied late to start favourite, Super Man punched through along the inside to lead 1,000m out and drew clear for an easy win despite two previously unplaced runs on this surface. He might find things tougher up in grade. Early favourite I'm The Won For U was hard ridden early on to hold a handy spot and kept grinding away to come home a clear second. He's running well but doesn't have much upside off his current mark. Helen's Choice made up a tonne of ground from the tail of the field to grab a placing. He's always a chance on this surface. Plunged late, London City was only collared late for a placing after having to work hard from a wide gate to park outside the leader 600m out. It was a pleasing first run on this surface but he does appear to be on or near his mark. Hearts Keeper made some ground from behind midfield. He likely needed the run in his first outing of the term for his new trainer.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (105)-MAGPIE HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres

HURRICANE KID knuckled over badly at the start and consequently lost ground.

WAYFOONG VINNIE began awkwardly.

Near the 1100 Metres, WAYFOONG VINNIE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of WINNINGLI.

Making the turn near the 700 Metres, MEGATRON got its head on the side, shifted out abruptly and lost ground when being checked away from the heels of HEARTS KEEPER.

For the majority of the race, FINE ROCK travelled wide and without cover and making the turn after the 700 Metres got its head on the side and lay out.

Passing the 600 Metres, HURRICANE KID was awkwardly placed behind FURIOUS PEGASUS.

Shortly after entering the Straight, HURRICANE KID was shifted out away from the heels of FURIOUS PEGASUS.

Following the race, B Prebble was dislodged from SUPER MAN without incident.

After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on HURRICANE KID at the request of Trainer P O'Sullivan.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea.

A veterinary inspection of FINE ROCK immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small superficial wound to the right hind coronet.

SUPER MAN and I'M THE WON FOR U were sent for sampling.
