Smiling Glory was well rated on the lead by Douglas Whyte and held off a flurry of horses for a first win. He was sharper for a run from a better gate. Joao Moreira jumped off the winner but lost nothing in defeat when staying on gamely after a deep run with cover in midfield to make it close. He'll repay Moreira shortly. The one to following was I'm The Won For U who was never better than four deep without cover and steamed home down the outside to miss second by a lip. Plunged late Royal Partner came from last to nearly place. He's crying out for a mile. Dr Race was another getting home strongly after settling near the tail following a tardy break. Respect grudgingly gave way after stalking the winner. He's always a chance on this surface. Winning Vibe weakened after a torrid run. Favourite A Beautiful couldn't gain a run over the final 180m.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (022)-HUIZHOU HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres

SALSA BROTHERS began only fairly.

WINNING VIBE began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped MODERN FORTUNE.

MODERN FORTUNE was then shifted across behind runners.

DR RACE was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

From the outside barrier, ROYAL PARTNER was taken across behind runners in the early stages.

Passing the 900 Metres, A BEAUTIFUL was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BO DUKE.

After the 800 Metres, SALSA BROTHERS raced keenly.

Approaching the 200 Metres, ROYAL PARTNER was shifted out across the heels of A BEAUTIFUL after being disappointed for running inside that horse.

Over the final 150 Metres, A BEAUTIFUL was not able to obtain clear running and consequently was not able to be tested.

Over the concluding stages, FURIOUS PEGASUS was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SMILING GLORY and consequently was not able to be properly ridden out all the way to the end of the race.

Throughout the race, WINNING VIBE and I'M THE WON FOR U travelled wide and without cover.

A veterinary inspection of A BEAUTIFUL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

A BEAUTIFUL, SMILING GLORY and LANSBURY were sent for sampling.
